Suzy and I found the Saxophone Pub last year when searching for some live entertainment in Downtown Bangkok. Here you’ll certainly have a good time. The food is good and the music is better. The Swing Kings are a regular at the Saxophone Pub, you’ll find them there Wednesdays and Thursdays and perform at about 9pm. Large big brass bands have long been somewhat extinct in the US. I have no real idea why except for the idea that 10 people 
cannot really split an evening’s purse with anything substantial to talk about. I have a good friend Andy Stefano back in Florida. He sings great and we enjoy his performances but he’s had far fewer gigs saying that for most performers, $250 an evening is almost a thing of the past. Perhaps that’s the economy speaking here but the live performances are the draw for an evening of spending money and enjoying yourself. Well here in Downtown Bangkok we’re glad that’s not the case. We enjoy coming out to the Saxophone Pub and listening to the Swing Kings at every chance we can get. Watch the video, you’ll see why.
