When the sun goes down over Cambodia and you’ve had a long day of exploring Ancient Temples, you’ll find it time to kick back, stop walking, and relax. In downtown Siem Reap, you’ll find the “Night Market” area. Here you can certainly bargain your way into ownership of almost anything you crave. Most visitors to Siem Reap end up here in the evening as this area is full of shops and street vendors open for business until late in the evening. Walk a few blocks more and you’ll find “Pub Street”, Just a single block long but chock full of side by side restaurants and bars for you to enjoy the evening. Restaurateurs have their menus available for you to browse right outside the restaurant and are eager for you to come and dine with them. Most people choose an outside table, there you can enjoy a few cocktails while waiting for your food and “people watch “as they wander up and down Pub Street in amazement of all that is in front of you. Just choose a good seat, order up some great food and enjoy a few drinks, it’s been a long day of exploration. Now for those of us who are night owls, you can take your pick of various bars offering live music, a few dance clubs if you’ve still got some energy left, or as we did, go and find some live entertainment where you can sit and be entertained. One block over from Pub Street, on 7th Street you’ll find Station Wine Bar. We arrived about 9:30 and spoke to the bouncer outside. He told us they offered a live show on stage in about 30 minutes. Suzy and I were game, we knew we could order up a bottle of wine and sit and relax. We agreed, they took us inside and gave us a front row table. The rest is history. We had no idea of what was in store for us, we enjoyed the evening here, it was endless entertainment, we enjoyed the wine and it was time well spent.
