After our Bangkok adventure Suzy and I decided to turn it down a notch and do some relaxing. Hua Hin seemed to be the perfect fit, it’s 125 miles South of Bangkok so getting there would be quick and it has the reputation for being quite beautiful. Because of this, Hua Hin has been a top resort area for more hat 70 years. In 1928, King Rama built Klai Kangwon Palace there and it remains today as a royal residence. Hua Hin also has the highest density of world class golf courses anywhere in Thailand. Suzy and I checked into the Ayrest Hotel and stayed for 5 days here, it was quite a wonderful hotel and beach spot. During the evening, we went to the “Night Market” a street closed off to traffic in the evenings. As the sun sets, vendors come and setup shop in hopes of selling their wares and fast food. It is also full of restaurants, bars, and entertainment. It’s quite easy to spend a few hours here wandering around, taking in some food and drink, buying a few items or just people watching. An amazing temporary spot you’re sure to enjoy.
