The first post should be of our first experiences after leaving port so here goes……. after 2 days aboard and enjoying the fineries of the MS Eurodam which is a really nicely equipped ship with extravagances abound, the captain announces; It’s now 2 pm, please move your clock forward 1 hour. The next day… at 2 pm the captain makes another announcement; It’s 2 pm, please move your clock forward 1 hr. So here’s my first thought; I can get used to this, every day I get 1 hr closer to 5 pm, Martini Time ! fantastic ! Then my next thought…. if this is true, I’ll exercise every day between 2 and 3 pm ! What a thought ! So here we are on the move to Italy with nothing but time to kill, so we Eat, Drink and Think which brings us to Thought #3… Since we keep changing time zones, time is controlled by longitude. So.. if I’m standing exactly on the North pole and rotating 360 degrees, every way I point to is South……… Nextly, If time is controlled by Longitude, what time would it be ? Damn those engineers… Stop thinking and have another Martini !
